Coming in Fall, 2012

The Institute for Evidence-Based Health Professions Education, in collaboration with the Department of Adult Education, is developing a fully online master’s degree in adult education with an emphasis on health professions education. It brings together courses from the College of Public Health and the College of Education. The course is intended for healthcare professionals in all disciplines who are interested in learning how to be better educators, scholars, and researchers. You will learn basic principles of program development, evaluation, adult education, and continuing professional education. Cutting edge courses in evidence-based practice, healthcare informatics, are systematic reviews are also part of the standard curriculum. Your colleagues will be fellow healthcare professionals and all of the instructors have extensive experience in the healthcare arena. A practicum allows you to pursue an area of special interest, and an applied project at the end of the curriculum helps you apply what you have learned in your workplace.
